If you or someone you love is experiencing dental pain, all you want is for the pain to go away so you can move on with your day. Unfortunately, dental pain and other dental emergencies seem to happen at the most inopportune moments, but at Naylors Court Dental Partners, we want you to know that we are here to treat your dental emergencies at any time.

During our business hours, we set aside time for dental emergencies to get you the treatment you need, but even if our office is closed, you can call us for an emergency appointment.

What Is a Dental Emergency?

Depending on the situation, time can be critical in treating your emergency, so the first step is to call us immediately if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Tooth pain – Your teeth shouldn’t hurt, so if you are experiencing discomfort or pain spontaneously or when you apply pressure to a particular tooth, it could be a sign of infection. The sooner we can treat an infection, the sooner your discomfort will subside.
  • Knocked-out tooth – If your tooth is knocked out, it can be very scary, and to save your tooth, we need to see you right away. If you lose a tooth, try to place the tooth back in its socket; if you are unable to do so, you can carefully place the tooth in your mouth or store it in a glass of milk until you can get to our office.
  • Broken or chipped tooth – We can usually fix a chipped or broken tooth quickly, and we want to do so to avoid further damage to your tooth, so don’t ignore this dental emergency.
  • Cut or bitten cheek, lip, or tongue – Many people think dental emergencies only involve the teeth, but if you have injured your soft tissues and are experiencing bleeding, it is important to let us know so that we can advise you on treatment.
